In India, a devastating reality unfolds as over 3,500 children under the age of 5 succumb to mortality daily, resulting in an annual toll of 1.3 million young lives lost. Adding to this tragedy, every hour, five women in India lose their lives due to complications arising during childbirth, contributing to an annual count of 45,000 maternal fatalities. What compounds the heartbreak is the fact that the majority of these deaths are entirely preventable through timely healthcare interventions and treatments, underscoring the urgency of addressing treatable conditions such as anemia, haemorrhage, sepsis among mothers, and diarrhea, respiratory infections, and fever among children.
